Get the food you deserve.
We make it respectfully simple.
We are open every Tuesday (7:00 pm to 9:00 pm) and Saturday (10:00 am to 12:00 pm) and the doors open one hour prior to the start of service.
What do I need to bring?
We only ask you for the most basic information during registration. We do not ask for income verification or proof of residency. As a matter of fact, we don’t even require you to present an ID. The only thing we ask that you bring are bags, or other items of your choosing, to carry your food as our supply is very limited.
Who is eligible to come?
We serve everyone including veterans, seniors, homeless neighbors, LGBTQ+ neighbors and all nationalities, races and religions. Literally everyone is welcome! After all, We’re All Neighbors Here!
Where is the Pantry?
We are located at 9030 Brookfield Avenue in Brookfield. Our building is on the north side of Brookfield Avenue directly across from the BNSF railroad tracks.
Where do I park?
The Village of Brookfield allows our neighbors to park in the commuter parking spots located across the street and east of the pantry building.
What happens when I arrive?
You can expect a caring and courteous welcome here. When you arrive, we ask that you take a number (you will find a number dispenser as you enter our Neighbor Gathering Space) and take a seat. While you are waiting for your turn, you will see information on the television screen about other services and events that we think will interest you. We have a selection of magazines and please feel free to visit our Neighbor Library where you can select any books to your liking and take them home with you. There is also a restroom at the back of the room for your convenience.
While you are waiting, we also invite you to visit our Resource Hub where you will find a friendly volunteer who can help you find other resources that you may need. The Hub has information on employment services, medical and dental care, housing and utility assistance and so much more.
First, your number will be called and you will proceed into the Registration Office to register and receive your personal pantry neighbor card. The next time your number is called, you will be escorted into the pantry to begin shopping.
How will I get my food?
When you are escorted into the pantry, you will find a well-stocked grocery store environment. You will be guided through the pantry by one of our helpful and courteous volunteers and will be able to fill your cart with whatever food items you like. We have all of the standard items plus meat, frozen foods, and fresh fruits and vegetables.
If you have special dietary needs or if you or someone in your family has allergies, please let one of our volunteers know and we will be happy to assist you. Our Nutrition Team is working hard on expanding our offerings in these areas.
When you are finished shopping, our volunteers will hold your cart while you bring your vehicle to our overhead door. When you arrive at the door, our volunteers will be happy to load your groceries into your vehicle and you will be on your way!
How often can I come?
In order to make certain that we have an adequate amount of food for all of our neighbors, you are permitted to visit this pantry once each calendar month. If the food you receive will not last until the following month, you are welcome to visit another pantry in the network. Click the button below to find other local pantries.
Community Refrigerator and Mini-Pantry
We host Brookfield’s first Community Refrigerator in the entryway of our building, as well as a mini-pantry. You can access these additional resources seven days a week from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm (hours may vary on days the full pantry is open). All neighbors in urgent need of food are welcome to visit and no registration is required.
